Let’s cut to the facts: math plus me did not equal brilliance. But in my non-geometry-inclined brain, I figured UNC wasn’t just scouting for mathematicians, so why would I pretend to be one? Instead, I wandered on back to Journalism class and decided my college applications would tell the story of my academic strengths, which contextualized my undergraduate intentions. And I decided the story ought to be pretty darn irresistible. Oh, and I studied my butt off for the ACT math section…
